LNG import discussed

ISLAMABAD (APP) - A US delegation Wednesday called on Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Syed Naveed Qamar here and discussed the funding of Pakistan 's first Liquefied Natural Gas Import Project. The delegation comprised of Overseas Private Investment Corporation, a US government agency, headed by Robert B Drumheller along with the US Ambassador Anne W Patterson. Naveed Qamar informed the delegation about the decision of Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet taken in its meeting wherein 4Gas, the Dutch company, had been cleared for the terminal project. Qamar also apprised the delegation on the exploration and production activities being accelerated across the country.
