Kalsoom, others move court for succession certificate

LAHORE- Begum Kalsoom Nawaz, the wife of Nawaz Sharif, along with her other sisters and a brother, on Saturday filed an application in a local court, seeking succession certificate regarding the movable property of their parents and a deceased brother.
Begum Kalsoom Nawaz, through her counsel, filed an application wherein she and her sisters, Saeeda Amir and Khadija Hafeez, brother Abdul Latif and sister-in-law Mubeen, wife of Muhammad Asif, claimed they were the only legal heirs of Dr Hafeez, Asif Hafeez and Razia Begum.
In their application, they said Dr Hafeez had 100 shares in Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and 154 shares in Javedan Cement Limited, Razia Begum had 127 shares in Sui Southern Gas Pipeline Limited, 200 shares in Pakistan Telecommunication Limited, 11,480 shares with First Habib Modarba, 8,487 shares with Engro Corporation Limited, 6,430 shares with Engro Chemicals Pakistan Limited, 240 shares with National Refinery Limited, 2,205 shares with Sitara Chemicals Industries Limited and 4,645 shares with Cherat Cement Company Limited.
They prayed to the court to issue a succession certificate in respect of the assets of Dr Muhammad Hafeez, Razia Begum and Muhammad Asif in their favour as per their legal shares to meet the ends of justice.  Admitting the plea, the judge ordered publication of a court advertisement. The court will resume hearing on June 6.
