There is light for darkness and mornings for night. Everything in the universe seems to be following this pattern of youth, old age and death. Even the stars in the sky, fall off and die. Here are some stars that missed old age and died too soon.

Waheed Murad

Waheed Murad was a Pakistani film actor, producer and script writer, famous for his charming expressions, attractive personality, tender voice and unusual talent for acting. He died at the age of 46. Waheed's son Aadil was in Karachi staying with his grand mother. He returned late to spend the night one day, at Anita Ayub's mother Mumtaz Ayub's home. When Waheed did not wake up until late, the door had to be forced open and Waheed was found lying on the floor, dead for several hours. A paan leaf with 'something' in it was found in his mouth. Nobody knows for sure if it was a heart attack or suicide.

Marilyn Monroe

There are a lot of conspiracy theories surrounding the death of Hollywood diva, Marilyn Monroe. The style icon and the ultimate ‘blonde girl’ was speculated to be in a relationship with President John .F. Kennedy. While the beautiful actress was found dead in her bedroom, many say that she was murdered. A certain section also suggested that the reason behind her mysterious death was addiction to drugs leading to drug overdose. Marilyn Monroe was 36 at the time of her death. 

Elvis Presley

Elvis Aaron Presley was an American singer and actor. Regarded as one of the most significant cultural icons of the 20th century, he is often referred to as "the King of Rock and Roll", or simply, "the King".

"Drug use was heavily implicated" in Presley's death, writes Guralnick. "No one ruled out the possibility of anaphylactic shock brought on by the codeine pills ... to which he was known to have had a mild allergy." A pair of lab reports filed two months later each strongly suggested that polypharmacy was the primary cause of death; one reported "fourteen drugs in Elvis' system, ten in significant quantity." Forensic historian and pathologist Michael Baden views the situation as complicated: "Elvis had had an enlarged heart for a long time. That, together with his drug habit, caused his death. But he was difficult to diagnose; it was a judgment call."He died at the age of 42.

Madhubala

One of the most beautiful Indian actresses of her times, known for her unforgettable performance in Mughal-e-Azam as Anarkali, Madhubala died due to a heart condition at an age of 36. The iconic actress had a successful career spanning two decades, cashing some hit Hindi films. Apparently, Madhubala was born with a ventricular septal defect, commonly known as ‘hole in the heart’ Nazia Hassan.

Heath ledger

Heath Ledger (1979 - 2008) - Ledger's star was still on the rise when he died at 28 of an accidental overdose of prescription medications. He was a unique young actor who seemed to ignore his own good looks and took roles that, rather than showing off his handsome face, displayed his impressive acting talent. He won an Oscar for his role of ‘Joker’ for ‘The Dark Knight’ after he passed away.

Amy winehouse

Amy Winehouse (1983 - 2011) - Winehouse's jazzy tones and captivating voice, powerhouse vocals and creative lyrics gained her critical acclaim and won several awards at such a young age. Her song ‘Rehab’ is a depiction of her struggle with drug addiction.  She died of alcohol poisoning at 27.

Tupac Shakur

Shakur was a successful rapper and actor whose "All Eyez on Me" double disc album is one of the best-selling hip hop albums of all time. He is considered by some critics to be the best rapper of his time. He was fatally shot at 25.

Nazia Hassan

Nazia Hassan was a Pakistani pop singer, lawyer and social activist. Through her successful singing career, Hassan became one of the subcontinent's singing legends and one of the most popular celebrities of South Asia. Nazia Hassan fought a long battle with cancer during the last years of her life and died of lung cancer in London on 13 August 2000 at the age of 35.

Kurt Cobain

Kurt Cobain (1967 - 1994) - Nirvana frontman and songwriter Cobain died at 27 of a reportedly self-inflicted gunshot wound on or around April 5, 1994. Distraught fans still debate whether his death was suicide or murder.

Jiah Khan

The death of Jiah Khan created a stir in the industry. This young and budding talent was reportedly found dead at her apartment in Juhu in June 2013. She was just 25. As an immediate consequence of the death, Jiah Khan's alleged boyfriend Sooraj Panscholi was arrested on charges of abetment to suicide. According to a report in The Times of India, a six paged letter allegedly written by Jiah was found by the police and that Jiah Khan's mother, Rabia Khan had questioned the suicide theory. In an interview with The Times of India, Rabia Khan opened up about her daughter, saying, "Reports that my daughter was depressed because of work is all rubbish. She was fine; she was sincere, pure and not manipulative at all. She could not stand lies, deception and lies from the only one she loved the most. I am not being revengeful but telling the truth. She fell for a wrong guy." According to a Mumbai Mirror report, the Pancholis had filed a 100 crore defamation case against Rabia Khan. While the legalities are on, Bollywood remembers Jiah as the sensuous beauty of Nishabd.

Rani

Rani was a Pakistani film and television actress. She gained success in the late 1960s when she made a hit pair with famous actor and producer Waheed Murad. She remained one of the most successful actresses of subcontinent and was also popular for her dance performances in films. Rani died of cancer on May 27, 1993 at the age of 46.
