NEW YORK: Beyonce and Jay-Z helped Kanye West celebrate his 36th birthday in New York City on Sunday. The couple was among the guests at a small birthday party for the 'New Slaves' rapper at Caribbean-inspired hotspot Ms. Lily's in the city. Other guests at the low-key bash included Nas, Scott Disick and Kim Kardashian's best friend Jonathan Cheban. Kanye's partner of more than one year, Kim Kardashian, was absent from the party as she is stuck in Los Angeles because she is no longer able to fly ahead of the birth of their first child next month.–GN
