Britney to play Cinderella

Britney Spears is reportedly in talks to appear on the London stage this festive season as Cinderella.
According to The Sunday People, the singer is being offered a deal thought to be worth £500,000 to swap the Vegas lights for the London stage in a very special pantomime. The pantomime will run for five weeks at the London Palladium in December. But before approaching Britney show producers are said to have offered the role to both Kim Kardashian and Kylie Minogue.
A source told the newspaper: “It is very much based on the traditional Cinderella, with a few twists, Britney will feature and maybe sing a song or two - but the rest of the cast will carry the burden. There will be some big name co-stars.”
"Britney was one of a number of big name stars who were approached - you name a female star they were approached - but the others didn’t work out and they have opted for her. She is a still huge name who is much-loved by British fans - she will definitely attract people to come along and see her.”
“A star of her standing isn’t cheap - but she will be worth every penny if she can attract sell-out audiences. Everyone is very excited - It is all about bums on seats and creating a buzz. Cinderella is going to be mega - definitely *the* show to attend in London this winter.”
No deal has been finalised yet, but an official announcement will be made after the role has been cast. Britney is currently in the middle of her Las Vegas residency with her hit-packed ‘Piece of Me Show’. The singer is also said to be gearing up to release her ninth studio album.
