Kulasekara wrecks Pakistan

He might not look like a typical fast bowler with his frail frame but he is the number one bowler in one-day cricket and is also settling in well in Test cricket. Kulasekara was a thorn in Pakistan's flesh yet again as he bowled an accurate spell of seam bowling. The 26 year old playing his eighth Test started the rout by inducing Khurram Manzoor to edge one to the keeper when he was on three. It was then his double blow which sucked the life out of Pakistan's innings. Mohammad Yousuf was looking in ominous form yet again but he was made to play uppishly by Kulasekara to be caught on the off side for only 10. Kulasekara was seaming the ball both ways and this time he brought one into Misbah-ul-Haq and the batsman had no answer to it and inside edged it to the keeper. Pakistan were reduced to 19-4 in just the seventh over. Kulasekara bowled well within his limits. The diminutive fast bowler trapped Abdur Rauf leg before for a duck to end with his Test best figures of 4-21 off nine overs. His spell enabled Sri Lanka to take an upper hand in this important Test. Pakistan team would be well advised to take this bowler seriously for the rest of the tour.
