CDA anti-encroachment drive continues

Islamabad - On the directions of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Maroof Afzal, Enforcement Directorate of the CDA on Thursday conducted operation against encroachments in different areas of Islamabad.
During the anti-encroachment drive, teams of Enforcement Directorate demolished illegally constructed six rooms on CDA’s land near Shell Petrol Pump, Rawal Dam Chowk. Similarly 11illegally established kiosks and one shed adjacent to a hotel at the same site were also demolished. During another operation against illegal constructions in Noori Bagh and Chajaar areas of Bari Imam, the anti-encroachment teams demolished two illegal under-construction houses, three rooms and four illegally constructed boundary walls and retrieved CDA land from the encroachers.
The Enforcement Directorate also carried out an operation in the katchi abadi of Sector H-9 and demolished two newly-constructed rooms and four boundary walls. During the operation, the Enforcement teams faced some resistance, however, no untoward situation occurred.
Similarly, one room constructed in katchi abadi adjacent to Firdaus Market, F-6/2 and two under-construction rooms in government residence in Street 22, Sector G-6/1 were also demolished.
The Enforcement Directorate has also taken action against the illegally constructed eight rooms and seven boundary walls in Katchi abadi, I-11/1. Moreover, strict monitoring is being carried out to discourage new illegal constructions in the area. Enforcement Directorate during another operation, removed 25 illegally established depots of sand and crushed stone from the surroundings of Sector G-8, G-9 and Sector F-8.
