Pay raise, revised scales notified

ISLAMABAD - The government on Wednesday notified the revised basic pay scales of civil servants with 7.5 percent increase after merging two ad hoc allowances into basic pay as announced in the budget 2015-2016.
Following the announcement made in the budget, the government has enhanced the salaries by 7.5 percent after merging the two-ad hoc allowances of 15 percent and 20 percent given in 2011 and 2012 into the basic pays of the civil servants.
Meanwhile, the 50 percent ad hoc allowance given in 2010 will continue to stand frozen at the level of admissibility/drawn as on June 30, 2015. Similarly, the ad hoc relief allowances 2013 and 2014 @ 10 percent each shall also stand frozen at the level of admissibility as on June 30, 2015.
The government has notified the new basic pay scales 2015. According to the revised basic pay scales of the civil servants, the minimum pay of the BPS-1 has been revised to Rs 6,210 from Rs 4,800. The maximum pay ceiling for this scale has been increased to Rs 12,060 from Rs 9300. The minimum pay of BPS-2 has been revised to Rs 6,335 from Rs 4,900. The maximum level of pay has been increased to Rs 12,935 from Rs 10,000. The minimum pay of the BPS-3 has been revised to Rs 6,535 from Rs 5,050. The maximum level of pay for BPS-3 has been increased to Rs 14,335 from Rs 11,050.
The minimum pay of BPS-4 has been revised to Rs 6,730 from Rs5200 and maximum ceiling for this scale has been increased to Rs 15,730 from Rs 12,100. The minimum pay of BPS-5 has been revised to Rs 6,985 from Rs 5,400. The maximum level of pay has been increased to Rs 17,185 from Rs 13,200. The minimum pay of BPS-6 has been revised to Rs 7,235 from Rs 5,600. The maximum level of pay for BPS-6 has been increased to Rs 18,485 from Rs 14,300.
The government has revised minimum salaries of BPS-7 to Rs 7,490 from Rs 5,800. Similarly, the maximum level of pay for this scale has been enhanced to Rs 19,940 from Rs 15,400. The minimum pay of BPS-8 has been revised to Rs 7,750 from Rs 6,000 and maximum level of pay has been increased to Rs 21,400 from Rs 16,500. The minimum pay of BPS-9 has been revised to Rs 8,015 from Rs 6,200 and maximum pay to Rs 22,865 from Rs 17,600.
The minimum pay of BPS-10 has been revised to Rs 8,275 from Rs 6,400 and maximum level of pay to Rs 24,595 from Rs 19,000. The minimum pay of BPS-11 has been revised to Rs 8,540 from Rs 6,600 and maximum level of pay increased to Rs 26,390 from Rs 20,400. The minimum pay of BPS-12 has been revised to Rs 9,055 from Rs 7,000. The maximum level of pay has been increased to Rs 28,555 from Rs22000.
The minimum pay of BPS-13 has been revised to Rs 9,700 from Rs 7,500 and maximum level of pay to Rs 31,150 from Rs 24,000. The minimum pay of BPS-14 has been revised to Rs 10,340 from Rs 8,000 and maximum level of pay increased to Rs 34,040 from Rs 26,300. The minimum pay of BPS-15 has been revised to Rs 10,985 from Rs 8,500 and maximum level of pay increased to Rs 38,135 from Rs 29,500.
The minimum pay of BPS-16 has been revised to Rs 12,910 from Rs 10,000 and maximum level of pay to Rs43960 from Rs 34,000. The minimum pay of BPS-17 has been revised to Rs 20,680 from Rs 16,000. The maximum level of pay has been increased to Rs 51,780 from Rs 40,000. The minimum pay of BPS-18 has been revised to Rs 25,940 from Rs 20,000 and maximum level of pay to Rs 64,940 from Rs 50,000.
The minimum pay of BPS-19 has been revised to Rs 40,155 from Rs 31,000 and maximum level of pay to Rs 81,655 from Rs 63,000. The minimum pay of BPS-20 has been revised to Rs 46,705 from Rs 36,000 and maximum level of pay increased to Rs 89,405 from Rs 68,900. The minimum pay of BPS-21 has been revised to Rs 51,885 from Rs 40,000. The maximum level of pay increased to Rs 99,135 from Rs 76,400.
The minimum pay of BPS-22 has been revised to Rs 55,755 from Rs 43,000 and maximum level of pay increased to Rs 111,195 from Rs 85,700.
“The President has been pleased to sanction an increase of 7.5% of net pension with effect from 1st July 2015 until further orders to all civil pensioners of the federal government, including civilians paid from defence estimates as well as retired armed forces personnel and civil armed forces personnel,” stated a notification issued here. Similarly, the government has also increased medical allowance by 25 percent for pensioners.
