CDA planning to improve service delivery

Islamabad - The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is undertaking several reforms in the Estate Management Directorate for improvement and better service delivery.
A meeting in this regard was held here at CDA Headquarters on Friday, which was presided over by Member Administration and Estate, Amer Ali Ahmed, says a press release issued here.
On the occasion, Director General Land Management Nadim Abro, officers of Building Control Section (BCS), Enforcement Directorate and other formations of the Authority were also present. Amer Ali directed the Land Directorate to ensure transparency and to solve grievances of general public. He said that it has been observed that people are running from pillar to post particularly in the Estate Affectees Section and there is a need for immediate and prompt disposal of their cases or complaints on merit.
“It was pointed out that delay in holding of Allotment Scrutiny Committee (ASC) meetings causes inconvenience to public as well as results in corruption.
To streamline the matters, the Director General Land Management, Nadim Abro was directed to upload all data of pending ASCs on computer within a week time, which will be accessible on internet for transparency,” he added.
He said he will call meetings on weekly basis while the agenda would be generated randomly through computer software. The Information Technology
Directorate of CDA assured that this exercise would be completed within one week.
Amer Ali also directed the officers of Building Control Section (BCS) and Enforcement Directorate to strictly comply with rules and regulations regarding Non-Conforming use as well as encroachments in the Federal Capital.
He further directed for a stern action against the violators and encroachers without fear or favor. He also warned the officer that there should be no complaints of harassing residents or any sort of extortions.
