Man kills sister in Sadiqabad

Rawalpindi - A laborer shot dead his sister for refusing to leave her husband and to go to parents’ house, police sources informed here on Saturday.
The killer was thrashed by the in-laws of the deceased girl with sticks and rods and later handed over to the police. A murder case was registered against the killer, who is in critical condition and is being cured in Benazir Bhutto Hospital (BBH), police added.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Raja Taifoor, the incident took place in the limits of Police Station  Sadiqabad when a man named Sharif came in the house of his sister Hira Ahmed, 20, who was married to Javed.
The man started pressing the girl to leave her husband and to go with him to her parents house, DSP said adding that during the argument a verbal clash occurred between the brother and sister on which Hira’s father-in-law, brother-in-law Munir and other family members came forward to rescue Hira and to push Sharif out of the house.
“Sharif lost temper and whipped out his pistol and started firing hitting Hira who died on the spot,” said Raja Taifoor. He said that the in-laws of the deceased girl had beaten Munir with sticks and clubs injuring him critically and later called police, which arrested the killer. “Munir is in police custody and has been shifted to BBH, where doctors are trying to save his life along with two other men who received minor injuries and were out of danger. A murder case was registered against the killer while further investigation was on, he said. The dead body of girl was also moved to BBH for autopsy.
