JI to fight a decisive battle against corruption after Eid: Sirajul Haq

MADINA MUNAWARA / ISLAMABAD: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami Senator Sirajul Haq told the Pakistani community in Madina Munawara on Wednesday that the JI would fight a decisive battle against corruption after Eid. He was speaking at a grand Iftar dinner hosted in his honour in the holy city. A large number of Pakistani men women and children attended the Iftar.

Sirajul Haq said the Pakistanis working in the Gulf countries including Saudi Arabia and in other parts of the world were remitting millions of dollars to the country annually but the corrupt rulers and the bureaucracy plundered the money and transferred the same to foreign banks unlawfully. He said that the corrupt rulers had been betraying the country and the nation.

The JI chief supported the expatriates demand for the right to vote in the national elections to enable them have a say in the decision making.

Sirajul Haq stressed that the Pakistani embassies in different countries should set up educational institutions for the children of the Pakistanis working there where the Pakistani children could get education in line with the syllabi at home and in their national language.                                             

The JI chief was informed that the Pakistani community in different countries had to face great hardships in transfer of their earnings to home and had also to pay some unjustified deductions. He demanded that the process of remittance should be simplified to facilitate the countrymen.
