Islamabad - The 7th edition of The All-Pakistan Beaconhouse Model United Nations conference concluded at an impressive ceremony held at the institution’s iconic H-8 campus here.
The three-day debating extravaganza started with a colourful ceremony which introduced the Directorate and Secretariat for the event.
This was followed by speeches by the Group Head Ayesha Shabbir and principal BMI Asif Majeed Butt who lauded the entire host team for managing to pull off the event.
The highlight of the evening, however, was the invitation of inspirational individuals onstage to share the secrets to fame and success with the large audience of assembled participants. These included Javeria Sethi, Saad Ali, Waleed Babar and Ameera Iftikhar.
After an exhilarating first day, the 2nd day of the event witnessed productive debating sessions revolving around contemporary global issues. During the concluding, the participants enjoyed a much needed respite from the intense debating sessions with a variety of different activities to take part in. These included a scavenger hunt, basketball and a talent show.
The event wrapped up in the evening with a stupendous closing ceremony themed “A Night in Morocco”.
The participants were awarded shields and certificates in recognition of their remarkable performances at the ceremony presided over by chief guest Vice Chancellor of Quaid-e-Azam University, Dr. Javed Ashraf, Executive Director Beaconhouse North, Nassir Kasuri. The best delegation was awarded to Syria, students of City School, Islamabad.
