Terrorists given free hand: Qadri

KARACHI - Pakistan Sunni Tehreek chief Sarwat Ijaz Qadri said that terrorists were operating freely while the police and law-enforcement agencies remained unsuccessful in maintaining peace in the City.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, he said that terrorists were targeting the professors, lawyers, political workers and innocent citizens freely.
Such incidents put question mark over the performance of the LEAs. Qadri demanded the newly-elected government to take immediate action in this regard and provide security to the masses.
Condemning the target killing of the party worker Irshad Qadri, he said the state departments were responsible for the security of the people but preference of various political segments had busted their image that has played a key role in ruining the peace of the City.
He appealed to the leaders and workers of the party to remain calm over the workers’ target killing as external hands are working on the policy to destabilise peace. He demanded the government to arrest the killers forthwith.
