He directed the IG Police to post most senior and seasoned policemen in the investigation. “This is a serious business, and it cannot be left at the mercy of inefficient and unwilling people. Onward action would be taken against the concerned SHO and Investigation Officer if a case of terrorist nature is lost in the court of law,” he said categorically.
IGP Ghulam Hyder Jamali said that 23 most experienced inspectors have been posted in Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) to investigate terrorism related cases. The chief minister directed Prosecutor General (PG) to appoint more prosecutors purely on merit basis. “Additional allowances and extra salary would be given to the prosecutor who will win the terrorism case,” he said.
