KARACHI: Rangers on late Thursday night took 5 alleged suspects into custody and recovered a huge cache of ammunition, during a search operation in Purana Golimar area.

According to Rangers sources, Rangers conducted the search operation on information of criminals in the area. The suspects were taken into custody on the identification of suspects arrested earlier and recovered the weapons hidden in a building.

According to the Rangers, the arrested suspects belong to the Baba Ladla group of Lyari gang war. An interrogation of the apprehended suspects was underway.

Meanwhile, law enforcement agencies took the member of a political party Rizwan Awan into custody and shifted him to an undisclosed location during a raid in Khadda market area of Lyari.

Meanwhile police also arrested two criminals during action in Lyari Agra Taj area. Police said ammunition was found from the suspects.
