LAHORE: Two brothers among three death row inmates were executed in Kot Lakhpat central jail here on Wednesdaymorning.

All three were sentenced to death in murder trials. Imran and Luqman, two brothers had murdered a local named Ali in Islamabad in 1996 over a paltry issue. A local court had awarded death sentences to the brothers in 1997.

The other executed person, Raheel had gunned down a local in Sargodha in 1994. The garroted person is said to have hailed from Dera Ghazi Khan.

Four executions have been carried out at the Central Jail in two days.
