Shakir Shuja Abadi in Lahore hospital

LAHORE - The Chairman Board of Management of Post Graduate Medical Institute and Ameer-ud-Din Medical College, Gen (r) Kh Ziaud Din has inquired after health of renowned Saraiki Poet Shakir Shuja Abadi, who is under treatment at Lahore General Hospital.
Zia urged the LGH doctors to provide best possible medical facilities to the poet, following the directions of Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif. PGMI Principal Prof Anjum Habib Vohra, Prof Khalid Mahmood and other senior doctors were also present on the occasion.
Zia also constituted a medical board comprising senior doctors headed by Prof Anjum Habib Vohra for supervising treatment of Shakir Shuja Abadi. The Medical Board comprising Professor of Neurosurgery Dr Khalid Mahmood, Dr Athar Javed, Dr Shahid Mukhtar and MS LGH would meet today (Wednesday) to decide appropriate procedure of treatment for the patient, he said.
“The poet has been given a special private room and best available medical facilities have been provided to him,” Zia informed the media, adding that Shuja was suffering from a disease called Destonia right from his childhood which got worsened in 2004. The medical experts ensured the attendants of the poet that he would be provided best treatment at the LGH.
