Ghulam Abbas remembered

LAHORE - Moulana Shafi Josh said that Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas, a prominent Kashmiri leader, was among the first few Kashmiri leaders who raised the voice for Kashmir's affiliation with Pakistan.
He said it while addressing a sitting 47th death anniversary of the Kashmir Movement leader Ch Ghulam Abbas at Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan.
Many students, teachers and people from other walks of life attended the sitting. Josh said that earlier in his political career, Abbas was a symbol of hope for Kashmiris as he vehemently decried the Dogra rule in Kashmir and fought for rights of Muslim Kashmiris. He was imprisoned for championing the cause of Kashmir's affiliation with Pakistan. He was also one of the founding leaders of Muslim Conference.
HNPIP seminar on Malala
Hameed Nizami Press Institute of Pakistan is organising a seminar on ‘Nobel Award for Malala Yusufzai Pakistan’s Educational and Social Scenario’ at HNPIP Auditorium near China Chowk on Saturday.
Justice (r) Fakharunnisa Khokhar will preside over while former PTV Director Muneeza Hashmi and Dr Ijaz Butt will be chief guests on occasion. Speakers include Prof Dr Rashida Quraishi and Anchor Waqt News Aniqa Nisar.
