LAHORE – A resolution to pay rich tributes to the services of noted journalist and Nawa-i-Waqt Group Editor-in-Chief Majid Nizami on completion of 50 years of his editorship was passed in General Council meeting of Anjuman-e-Himayat-e-Islam, an age old welfare society of the sub-continent, on Thursday.
Justice (r) Manzoor Hussain Sial presided over the sitting. The resolution besides lauding the services of Majid Nizami, said, “The journalist worked hard for national unity, dissemination of Two-Nation Theory and unity of all factions of Pakistan Muslim League, the founding party of Pakistan”.
Nizami by adopting golden sayings of Allama Iqbal and Quaid-i-Azam led the nation, it further said. Justice (r) Javed Iqbal, Justice (r) Sardar Muhammad Dogar, Justice (r) Ghulam Mehmood Qureshi, Dr M A Sufi, Mian Munir and others participated in the general council meeting.
