Inquiry against Private school for taking price of textbooks ordered

The Punjab Education Foundation has started a departmental inquiry against the management of Al-Mairaj Public School, Bund Road, Lahore for receiving price of text-books, provided by Punjab Education Foundation free of cost, from its students. According to Spokesman PEF, the PEF management has also come to know that the said school, which has been registered last month under the Foundation Assisted School (FAS) programme, has allegedly used unfair means in the Quality Assurance Test (QAT) by impersonating students of another school as its own. Raja Muhammad Anwar, Chairman Punjab Education Foundation, while taking a serious notice of the situation, has directed the monitoring department to initiate an inquiry to probe the matter. He made it clear that no partner school is allowed to receive monthly fee or the price of text books provided by the (PEF) from its students. The parents of students should bring the matter into the notice of the PEF management in case of any delinquency, he concluded.
