Tarar calls for Quaid’s Pakistan

LAHORE - Quaid-e-Azam had observed that Pakistan would serve as a laboratory of Islam proving to the entire humanity that Islamic precepts alone could ensure the highest state of bliss and true happiness.
These were the views expressed by the NPT Chairman Muhammad Rafique Tarar at the eighth annual three-day Nazaria-i-Pakistan conference on the second day.
The speakers included Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Vice Chairman Rafique Tarar, Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, CPNE President Mujeebur Rehman Shami, Sohail Warraich and many others. The proceedings were conducted by Nazaria-i-Pakistan Secretary Shahid Rasheed.
Tarar further observed that a long struggle is required to transform Pakistan into a state of the dreams of Allama Iqbal and the Quaid-i-Azam. We have to analyse our inner selves and root out all the negative and destructive traits of character. The love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and strict adherence to his teachings could guarantee our success in the world and elevation in the hereafter.
Rana Mashhood Khan observed that his father Rana Abdul Rahim Khan was a gold medalist Pakistan Movement workers who used to remark that marks of spear wounds on his body were cherished by him as true gold medals.
Rana paid a rich tribute to the noble mission of the dissemination of the ideology of Pakistan being pursued by the Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust. Talking about the CPEC, he said, it will bring job opportunities to millions in Sindh, KP and Baluchistan, he observed. First of all, we need to impose discipline on our own self, recognising our responsibilities and contributing to establishing an ideal society. Mujeebur Rehman Shami observed that the neglect of the ideological realm can cost a nation an exorbitant price. He regretted the transfer of authority to prepare the curricula to the provinces under the eighteenth amendment. He warned of the untoward consequences of this dangerous move.
Sohail Warraich stressed the need for ameliorating the lot of the teachers. In the past, people used to stand out of respect at the sight a teacher. In the present age characterized by materialism, this honourable profession has lost all social prestige due to low rate of remuneration, he added.
Waleed Iqbal Advocate observed that we have to adopt the Quaid-e-Azam’s vision in order to promote unity in the Muslim community. Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Ali regretted that our sectarian interests have transcended our religious interests. We must give the top priority to religion.
Allama Ahmad Ali Qasuri said that we can promote the unity among the Muslim community through the force of religion. Fresh interpretation (ijtihad) in all the fields of life can guarantee our stability. Dr Tahir Raza Bukhari observed that Allama Iqbal urged to strengthen the institutions of mosque, seminary and monastery in order to unite the Muslim.
