Notions, ideals precious heritage of nation

LAHORE - The Federal Shariat Court Chief Justice (r) Mian Mehboob Ahmad has said that the aim of creating Pakistan was that Muslims of Sub-continent could lead their lives according to the teachings of Islam. Had our ancestors not struggled for having a separate country, we would also have been living in precarious conditions like Indian Muslims. We should thank Almighty God for this independence and should leave no stone unturned to gain prosperity and integrity of the country. He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of Nazriati Summer School held under the auspices of Nazria-i-Pakistan Trust on Wednesday here at Aiwan-e-Karkunan-e-Tehreek-e-Pakistan. Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran was the chief guest on the occasion. Jutice Mehboob said that Nazriati Summer School was educating adolescent students in such a way that they could serve the country after coming into practical life in accordance with the doctrines of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Poet of the East Allama Mohammad Iqbal. He further stated that notions and ideals were considered to be the precious heritage of a nation and those states, which did not take care of these values ultimately eliminated from the annals of history. He urged that as a nation our past was marvelous and our future is very bright. That is why we should not follow any other nation in our routine life.  He advised the young scholars to live together after leaving this institution and spirit of nationalism should reflect from their actions and thoughts. "You should follow the foot-steps of Quaid-i-Azam, Allama Iqbal and other revolutionary leaders and should bring the country to the top of global countries", he added. He further stated that children also participated in Tehreek-e-Pakistan and young people had established their own 'Kids Muslims League' on the direction of Quaid-i-Azam. He advised the children to contribute in country's progress and prosperity as the youth participated in Pakistan Movement, he added. Dr Mujahid Kamran said the Muslims of India were different from the Hindus in every viewpoint of life. The Muslims' living standard, thinking, rituals, customs and way of life were entirely repugnant to the Hindus. That was why, Quaid-i-Azam struggled for a separate homeland for the Indian Muslims and successfully attained it. He thanked Almighty God that Pakistan had emerged as an atomic country in the Islamic world after the hectic and challenging efforts of the Pakistani scientists. He further revealed that before detonating the atomic bomb in Chaghi, India had always been trying to eliminate Pakistan but after explosion, it had become impossible for it to make any dent in Pakistan, he added. He urged that to further strengthen defense and to achieve prosperity and development, it was indispensable to train more professionals in every field in the country. He advised the young students to get higher education with devotion and dedication so that they could serve the country in a better way. The NPT Chief Coordinator Mian Azizul Haq Qureshi welcomed the students and explained that this institution got immense admission applications but, unfortunately, due to non-availability of space, all applicants were not accommodated. He further said that under the patronage of Nazriati Summer School, students were made capable to shoulder their responsibilities so that they could know what were the reasons behind Pakistan to come into being and how they could put the country on the road of progress. He further said that the institution emphasised on the Two-Nation Theory in curriculum that was the base of country's integrity and solidarity. He was of the view that Pakistan was achieved after a long struggle and sacrificing millions lives so that new generation could lead their lives with satisfaction and according to the teachings of Islam. He suggested that their elders had achieved the country and now it was duty of youth to protect the state from wicked forces and put the country on the track of progress and prosperity. At the end of the ceremony, young students asked interesting questions from Dr Mujahid Kamran.
