Call to bring in peace

LAHORE - Noted poet Amjad Islam Amjad has said that every individual of Pakistan should play its part in bringing peace in the country.
He said it while addressing a seminar under the aegis of monthly Phool magazine and Academy Adbiayat Ittefal. He advised the participants to do more study to enhance their vision. The topic of the seminar was ‘The Role of Children and Scholars in Pakistan’s Progress and Peace’.
Phool Editor and Children Magazine Society President Shoaib Mirza said that 60 pc of the total population of the country comprised youth that could change fate of the country. He incited the teachers to build patriotic spirit among the students.
Pakistan’s first SSP and poetess Neelma Naheed Durrani said that the women were as useful as men as they could do any job men do. She said that the Muslims should follow golden principles of Islam and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Academy Vice Chairman Muzaffar Mohsin said that late Majid Nizami told them about the real enemy. Nasir Bashir said that Hakim Saeed and Shoaib Mirza rightly guided him.
Red Cross Dr Fouzia Saeed said that it was the need of the hour to show right path to the new generation. Dr Rukhsana Nadeem Bhutta quoted Napolean’s saying that good mothers gave birth to good nation. The teachers, the poets, parents should train the new generation, she held.
Amina Parveen said that the new generation might be given awareness about purpose of the creation of Pakistan.
The participants also prayed for late Hameed Nizami and Majid Nizami who they said played their part for nation building and new generation. A large number of people from all walks of life attended the sitting.
