LAHORE - Administrator City District Government and DCO Sajjad Ahmed Bhutta has directed the officials to ensure foolproof security arrangements on the eve of martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (RA). Chairing a meeting held here on Friday to review arrangements for martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (RA), he directed the officials to check abandoned shops and houses and remove garbage containers from the entire route of procession. Officials from the CDG, Police, Rescue 1122, Civil Defence and other related departments attended the meeting. Bhutta directed the officials to keep a close eye on suspected people and motorbikes and ensure checking of all participants of procession through metal detectors. He directed the officials to make alternative arrangements in case of power outage. He directed removal of encroachments and provision of necessary patchwork on the route of procession. He directed the officials to keep close liaison with organisers and peace committees for ensuring foolproof security arrangements.
