LAHORE - The Punjab Government on Monday approved fourteen development schemes with an estimated cost of Rs 13259.249 million.
These schemes were approved in the 27th meeting of Provincial Development working Party of current fiscal year 2013-14 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi, said P&D Spokesman.
The approved development schemes included:  Widening / Improvement of road from Pacca Qazi Wala to Madrissa at the cost of Rs. 455.750 million, Widening / Improvement of road from Chishtian-Haroonabad Road to Aslam Shaheed Chowk, at a cost of Rs. 274.816 million, Widening / Improvement of road from Qaimpur to Head Islam at the cost of Rs. 292.065 million, Widening / Improvement of road from Yazman to Adda Tail Wala at the cost of Rs. 248.431 million, all in Bahawalpur district.  Other schemes approved included widening / Improvement of road from Khanpur to Zahir Pir, in  R.Y. Khan district  at the cost of Rs. 294.740 million, Dualization of Bahawalpur-Hasilpur Road  in  District Bahawalpur at the cost of Rs. 4614.512 million, widening / Improvement of Sohawa Chakwal Talagang Mianwali Road in District Mianwali at the cost of Rs. 1695.498 million, widening and Improvement of Sargodha Gujrat Road in Sargodha District at the cost of Rs. 592.789 million, Dualization and Improvement of Rawat to Kallar Syedan Road in District Rawalpindi at the cost of  Rs. 997.610 million, widening / Improvement of road from Hafizabad (Jinnah Chowk) to Pindi Bhattian Interchange with Jalalpur Bhattian Byepasss in District Hafizabad at the cost of Rs. 847.670 million, Construction of Bridge over Nullah Bein between Karial and Chammal Villages in Tehsil Shakargarh at the cost of Rs. 235.762 million, Punjab Police Integrated Command, Control and Communication Programme at the cost of Rs. 583.453 million, Establishment of Nawaz Sharif Medical College, University of Gujrat & Uplifting of Aziz Bhatti Shaheed (DHQ) as Teaching Hospital, Gujrat at the cost of Rs. 2022.863 million and  Construction of Inverted Hockey Stud for Protection of Village Shahbazpur on Right Bank of River Chenab, District Gujrat at the cost of Rs. 103.335 million.
