Contempt of court plea against sealing Royal Palm Club filed in civil court

LAHORE: A contempt of court plea against sealing Royal Palm Club in Lahore was filed in civil court today. The plea was filed by Ramazan Sheikh and Umar Mir.

It has been stated in the petition that despite the restraining order,  the club was sealed by the Railway authorities which is a clear violation of the law.

The plea has explained that railway police was also shown the court orders but they did not comply with the orders and sealed the club after forcibly driving everyone out.

The petitioners while terming this act of railway authorities tantamount to contempt of court have demanded the relevant proceedings against those responsible.
