OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE City police have arrested three Constables for sexually assaulting a 22-year-old widow in Shadman area, police sources said on Friday. According to officials, one of the arrested constables has confessed to the investigators that he had raped the woman at a private house in Shadman area the other day. The woman (N) told the police that she had visited the Services Hospital to get the death certificate of her brother who died due to dengue fever when the on-duty doctors called in the police. The doctors handed her over to the policemen on the suspicion of a mobile phone theft. The policeman, identified as Constable Muhammad Iqbal, along with two other cops took the woman to a house in Shadman where he raped her. The widow said that the policemen took her to the house for interrogation rather than the police station and they had raped her at gunpoint. The three policemen have been suspended from services and are being investigated. The police have registered the case against the policemen on the complaint of the woman. Further investigations were underway.
