Former minister joins PML-N

LAHORE - Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) former federal minister Mirza Nasir Baig has announced to join Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Talking to a press conference along with (PML-N) Member National Assembly Abdur Rehman Khan Kanju and member Punjab Assembly Malik Sajjad Khan Joyia on Monday, former PPP leader said that he worked for the party for the last 40 years but he and party’s die-hard workers were left alone.
While announcing to join the governing party, he said that he would support the (PML-N) candidate in NA-154 Umair Khan Baloch and he will win.
Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s former MNAs, MPA and ticket holders had announced to support Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf candidate Jahangir Tareen for NA-154 by-elections.
Polling will be held at the constituency on the October 11. The main contest is between (PML-N) leader Umair Khan Baloch and Pakistan Tehreek-e Insaf’s (PTI) Jahangir Tareen.
