Is social media safe? Can it really increase productivity and build brand awareness or is it simply a place to waste a considerable amount of time?

One of the most disastrous disadvantage is cyber-bullying and crimes against children. Use of social networks may expose individuals to other forms of persecution or even inappropriate content. It is not just about distraction of youth but many other crimes are also committed using social networking sites. The information you post on the internet is available to almost everyone who is clever enough to access it. Most thieves just need essential pieces of personal information to make your life a nightmare. Besides its disadvantages, social media has advantages too. It’s up to us whether we are using it for constructive or destructive purpose.
