Revolutionary steps afoot to end crises: Hamid

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Zahid Hamid has said that the PML-N has put the country on the road to success, and economic and political stability by taking some bold decisions on the right time in the larger national interest.
Addressing party activists and the media at Pasrur, he said that the PML-N rivals were astonished with these steps, adding that the government was implementing several revolutionary steps to steer the country out of crises and to tackle the internal and external issues.
The federal minister said that the government was carrying out a revolutionary policy with other countries and the policy would be helpful in making Pakistan a self-reliant and stable country depending on national resources. It would also create maximum opportunities of economic and industrial stability, he added.
Mr Hamid narrated that early establishment of peace and weeding out terrorism and militancy were the top priority of the government. He said that the PML-N was striving to strengthen democracy and true democratic norms and values.
He revealed that the Youth Loan Scheme was a revolutionary step by the PML-N government which would create new job opportunities, thereby strengthening the national economy and putting her towards the national stability.
The MNA said that his government was taking keen interest in solving the problems of women, youth and skilled persons on priority basis. He added that the PML-N government was striving to cope with the persisting energy crisis for giving maximum relief to the people. He said that now the PML-N was the guardian of democracy and striving for the rights of the masses. It would never allow anyone to derail democracy, he added.
He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was striving to make Pakistan a strong economical power. He revealed that the national institutions were being strengthened, adding that his party would continue serving the masses without any discrimination.
Former Punjab governor Shahid Hamid, MPA Ch Munawar Gill, Sialkot DCO Iftikhar Ali Sahu and local PML-N leaders Prof Shahzad Ahmed Butt, Khawaja Saeed Butt and Javaid Iqbal Ghuman were also present. Earlier, local notables including Haji Iftikhar Bajwa joined the PML-N with their hundreds of the companions in presence of the minister during a ceremony held at village Kaaley Haraawaan-Sialkot.
Later, federal minister reviewed the pace of under-completion schemes in Pasrur tehsil. He held a meeting with the DCO and asked the officials concerned to ensure timely completion of these development schemes.
PRICE HIKE DISPLEASES Q: PML-Q Senior Vice President Raja Basharat said that the government had failed to control skyrocketing prices and give any relief to the masses.
He stated this while talking to newsmen at the outhouse of former MPA Ansar Iqbal Baryar at Aadha-Daska. He said that the PML-N government had shattered the trust and confidence of the people and remained unable to fulfil its political promises.
Earlier, he reviewed his party matters during a meeting and announced the appointment of former tehsil nazim Maqsud Ahmed as president of PML-Q Sialkot district. Punjab General Secretary of PML-Q Ch Zaheeruddin Khan, additional general secretary Nasir Mehmood Gill, former MNA Ch Ali Asjad Malhi and former MPA Bao Muhammad Rizwan also attended the meeting.
