The teachers and students of a university expressed grave concern over the targeting of civilian population in Sialkot villages by India, and urged the government to adopt a bold stance against Indian aggression.
Visiting the affecting areas, they urged the government to highlight at all the international forums, the hostilities of the Indian Border Security Forces on the Sialkot Working Boundary. They also urged the world to take serious notice of the Indian aggression and killings of Pakistani citizens by targeting the civilian population.
The Pakistani nation demands bold stance against Indian war aggression, they added. A delegation of students and teachers visited Indian shelling-hit villages including Joiyaan, Umeraanwali, Raja Harpal, Dhamaala and Charwah. They met with the affectees and knew their problems created after the recent spells of unprovoked mortal shelling by the Indian BSF.
During their day-long visit, the students were flanked by senior officials of the Chenab Rangers. The students of the Mass Communication Department of the Gujranwala-based university, termed Indian shelling a conspiracy, and said that the BSF was killing the innocent Pakistanis violating all the international laws.
They said that it was right time to respond to India effectively by taking up the shelling incidents before all the international forums including the UN. On the occasion, the visitors expressed complete solidarity with the affected people, armed forces of Pakistan and the Chenab Rangers. They said that the armed forces of Pakistan had the full capabilities to defend every inch of the motherland.
They demanded that the government should announce a special educational package for the affected students, saying that the local students and children have been suffering great educational loss due to the uncertainty prevalent due to Indian shelling.
They highly praised the professional capabilities of the Chenab Rangers and their effective and efficient role during the recent hostilities of India in Sialkot border villages. He said that Indian BSF had written another chapter of cruelty by the targeting and killing the Pakistani citizens.
They said despite the brutal Indian shelling, the morale of the local people was very high and they were ready to sacrifice even the last drops of their blood to defend the motherland.
Earlier, Chenab Rangers Sialkot Sector Commander Brig Waseem briefed the delegation about the recent border violations by India. Brig Waseem revealed that eleven Pakistani citizens including three Jawans of the Chenab Rangers were killed and more than 38 people were injured seriously by unprovoked intensified heavy shelling on Sialkot border villages by Indian BSF during the month of October 2014. Indian massive shelling also killed hundreds of cattle and badly damaged hundreds of houses and seasonal crops.
He narrated that the India fired more than 31,872 heavy mortar shells on Sialkot border villages, targeting civilian population, during five days long consecutive spell of Indian war aggression in October 2014. He said that the number of these heavy mortar shells was much higher than the shells fired by the Indian forces during the 1971 Indo-Pak War.
