ATC issues arrest warrants for Altaf, other accused in Imran Farooq murder case

ISLAMABAD: An Anti-terrorism Court's (ATC) judge Kausar Abbas Zaidi on Friday issued arrest warrants of accused absconding in Mutahidda Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Imran Farooq’s murder case including MQM founder Altaf Hussain, Muhammad Anwar, Iftikhar Hussain and Kashif Khan Kamran.
Sources said that the FIA had decided to arrest the accused. As the accused MQM founder Altaf Hussain, Muhammad Anwar and Iftikhar Hussain are in United Kingdom (UK), so a formal request would be made to British government for their arrest.
While Interpol will be approached for tracing the accused Kashif Khan Kamran.
It is to be mentioned here that MQM’s founding member Imran Farooq was murdered on September 16, 2010 in Park Lane area of London by unknown attackers by stabbing him.
