‘World silence over Indian aggression regrettable’

SIALKOT
PPP leader and former federal Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan condemned Indian cross-border larger scale hostilities in villages along the Sialkot Working Boundary and questioned world’s silence over the killing of innocent civilians.
Former federal minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan visited far-off border village Kundanpur where she met the bereaved families.
She strongly condemned the Indian aggression, saying that Indian BSF has targeting civilian population.
She expressed solidarity with people affected by Indian mortar shelling. “The world community should take serious notice of the Indian aggression and used its influence to halt the repeated ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary,” she emphasised.
Dr Awan said that the Modi Sarkar has miserably failed internally and is trying to divert the world’s attention from the ongoing fresh riots in Indian State Gujarat.
She pointed out that if India wants supremacy in the region by killing innocent and peace-loving people in Pakistan, it would be her biggest mistake. “The way to regional supremacy does not go through killing of innocent people, rather India should listen to the voices of Kashmiris and give them freedom according to their wishes,” she argued.
The PPP leader also lauded the resilience and spirit of the local population and praised the patriotism.
She said that the entire Pakistani nation stands united behind the armed forces, fighting a war for the sovereignty and solidarity of the motherland.
Earlier, she inquired after the health of those injured by Indian shelling during her visit to Sialkot Combine Military Hospital (CMH).
