LARKANA - A youth shot at a female polio vaccinator and injured her during an immunisation campaign here yesterday.

Police said that on the third and last day of the three-day anti-polio vaccination campaign, a youth opened fire at a female vaccinator and injured her in Lahori Mohallah locality of Larkana.

The injured worker was shifted to Chandka Medical Hospital.

The police arrested the attacker along with the weapon and started investigation after registering a case against him.

In preliminary interrogation, it was revealed that the assailant was in friendship with the victim. Later, she ended friendship with him, which made him vengeful.
