Swine Flu detection panics Multan

MULTAN - The confirmation of swine Flu (H1N1A) virus in Multan has panicked the citizens as a lab test report has confirmed that a 28 year old woman is suffering from this deadly flu.
The patient namely Sadia, resident of Jalilabad area, was brought to Nishtar Hospital with severe flu and the hospital administration sent her blood samples to National Institute of Health (NIH) on suspicion of Swine Flu.
Hospital sources said that the lab confirmed Swine Flu on which the health department declared emergency in Multan. Meanwhile, health teams collected samples of over 200 hens from poultry shops while the blood samples of the relatives of the patient were also taken and sent for examination. Hospital sources disclosed that the patient Sadia was in critical condition.
METRO ROUTE BEAUTIFICATION: The metro route beautification project is given to the Parks and Horticulture Authority and funds worth Rs. 146 million have been given to the authority for this purpose, disclosed Sabir Khan Saddozai, Chief Engineer of the project.
Talking to the journalists here on Saturday, he added that landscaping would be done to beautify the route which would further add to the beauty of Multan.
He disclosed that the Hafiz Jamal Road had been widened by 100-foot which created a new corridor to the commuters coming to Multan from Bahawalpur. He added that all the roads affected by the metro project would be reconstructed. He said that the entire route between BZ University and Chowk Kumharanwala, which got affected due to metro project, was being reconstructed.
