Our Staff reporter OKARA - MPA Mian Muhammad Yawar Zaman has said that it is the prime responsibility of elected representatives to fairly distribute funds specified for the poor and needy people by the Punjab govt. He expressed these views at a cheques distribution ceremony held here at Social Welfare office. DCO Saif Anjum, EDO Community Development Iqbal Faridi, DEO Social Welfare Rana M Ashraf, Chairman Zakat Committee Mehr Irshad Ahmed, Ishtiaq Ahmed and other officers were present on the occasion. MPA Yawar Zaman and DCO distributed cheques among the deserving people. MPA Yawar asked Bait-ul-Mal staff to work efficiently and distribute the funds at the earliest. DCO Saif Anjum said that people should be helped on humanitarian ground and they must be cared of. DEO Social Welfare Rana Muhammad Asharf told that 310 deserving people were being given financial assistance and Rs 1.5 million are being distributed.
