Gas explosion leaves one dead, 11 injured in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI - A 60-year-old man died while 11 others including seven members of a same family received injuries following a gas explosion here on Tuesday.
Four out of 11 were injured when wall of their house fell down due to explosion, informed police. The reason for blast was told to be gas leakage.
All the victims were shifted to hospital by Rescue 1122, where the deceased was identified as Samad Khan while those who received burn injuries were identified as Khalil Badshah, Perveen Khalil, Khalil’s daughters Saiqa, Iman, Mahnoor and Iqra, and Khalil’s son Yasir. Said Nazir, his wife Farzana and two small sons Shakir and Zakir were injured when wall fell on them.
