Drone attacks case adjourned indefinitely

Islamabad- Islamabad High Court (IHC) has adjourned indefinitely hearing of murder case of two persons killed in drone attacks, 5 years before in the area of Mir Ali at South Waziristan being Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui on leave.

The hearing of drone attack case could not take place in IHC today, as justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui was on leave. Mirza Shahzad Akbar counsel for the petitioner Karim Khan and Rauf legal counsel for police appeared in the court. The court had ordered for registration of murder against former chief station of CIA and legal counsel, in respect of two persons killed in drone strike on previous hearing. The court had summoned IG Police Islamabad and directed him to register FIR, with regard to murder case of two persons.

The government through its report filed in the court has taken the plea that the matter of registration of murder case of two persons against the former chief station CIA and legal counsel, involves legal complications as it can affect Pakistan ties with foreign countries.
