Fata DG NDMA reviews Jalozai Camp facilities



PESHAWAR - Director General FATA Disaster Management Authority Asghar Ali on Wednesday visited Jalozai Camp as a part of the ongoing coordination mechanism with the concerned agencies in Camp Management and looked into the issues faced by the Khyber Agency internally displaced population.
On the occasion, Chief Coordinator Faiz Muhammad made a briefing on the camp layout, existing capacity and caseload of the Jalozai Camp.
The Director General FDMA visited all sectors of the camp and met with the IDPs to know about their well-being and contentment level with respect to the facilities provided to them by the camp administration.
He inspected healthcare facilities, primary schools established inside Jalozai Camp, mother-child health centers and the Mobile Health Units deployed by the Health Directorate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA Secretariat.
He lauded the services provided by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority to the DPs of Khyber Agency. He discussed the implementation status of directives of the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued during his visit to the Jalozai Camp on 6th June 2012.
He appreciated the role of FDMA staff posted as Liaison Team at Jalozai Camp, which is extending support to PDMA in provision of services to the DPs of Khyber Agency.
The Director General FDMA also met with the visiting Mission of UNICEF: comprising UNICEF Regional Director for South Asia Katharina Francesca and Representative UNICEF Pakistan Dan Rohrmann.
