NWA blast leaves soldier dead

ISLAMABAD - A soldier of Pakistan Army died in an IED explosion during the house-to-house search operation in North Waziristan Agency on Friday during the second phase of ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb.
According to ISPR, Niak Fiaz embraced martyrdom on Friday in Miranshah during search operation when an IED exploded. The funeral prayer of Niak Fiaz Mohammad Shaheed was offered at Bannu. Later the dead body was sent to his hometown Mansehra.
Meanwhile, in a tweet on Friday night, DG ISPR Major Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa said, “We salute the courage and bravery of Niak Fiaz Mohammad Shaheed.” Gen Bajwa said that IEDs are planted everywhere in Miranshah, particularly around the houses and streets, adding that it would take some time to clear the area. Brave Soldiers are busy clearing the area rapidly, he added.
ANOTHER LANDMINE MANUFACTURING FACTORY UNEARTHED
INP adds: Security forces unearthed another landmines manufacturing factory in Miranshah during ground operation.
According to ISPR DG Maj Gen Asim Saleem Bajwa, the security forces are gaining ground during Operation Zarb-e-Azb in North Waziristan Agency. The security forces seized a compound during ground operation in Danday Darpakhel area of Miranshah which also contained landmines manufacturing and suicide jackets factory. Large amount of explosives, bullets, detonators and other equipment was seized during the search operation.
Meanwhile, an official spokesman informed that all 37,557 families registered in Bannu have been provided rations.
