PESHAWAR: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has said the only way forward in military operations is total elimination of terrorists.
Speaking at a briefing in Corps Headquarters Peshawar on Saturday, he appreciated the achievements made by the armed forces in intelligence-based operations against terrorists. The COAS said operation Zarb-e-Azb would continue till complete elimination of terrorists. He was sure that operations would ultimately result in better border management. He also appreciated the intelligence-based operations.  The chief of the army staff was apprised of the progress made in the ongoing military operation in North Waziristan and security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. –Agencies
He was also briefed on the intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the tribal areas.
The army chief underlined the need for coordination among all the agencies for dignified and timely return of temporarily displaced persons (TDPs) to their homes. He added the return of the TDPs would begin by the middle of the current month.
