Protection of sanctity of Namoos-e-Risalat is an integral part of the faith of every Muslim and any bid on part of government to amend the Namoos-e-Risalat law will fully be resisted.
Jamaat-e-Islami Punjab Ameer Mian Maqsood Ahmad stated a news conference here on Monday. The JI leader added that an enormous march would be organised by JI on April 8 to support Namoos-e-Risalat law and end corruption from the country. He said that the march would be held on Mall Road in Lahore and a sit-in would be staged outside the Punjab Assembly. He lamented that the corruption culture has become a cancer for the country and Pakistan could not make progress without elimination of this culture.
He pointed out that conspiracies are being hatched to turn Pakistan into a secular state as hanging of Mumtaz Qadri and women bill passed by Punjab Assembly are part of this effort. He said that corruption worth over Rs12 billion is being committed in the country on daily basis but the ruler offered protection to the corruption culture instead of uprooting it. He said that the Prime Minister lashed out at NAB when it talked about opening corruption cases in Punjab.
He said that a moot of heads of religious parties would be held in Mansoor on March 15 to chalk out future line of action followed by an Ulema and Mashaikh Convention at Convention Centre Islamabad on March 27.
Answering a question, he said that Mustafa Kamal was also brought by the same people who brought Altaf Hussain. He added that the allegations levelled by Mustafa Kamal were not new as Gen Naseer Ullah Babar and Moen Uddin Haider had also talked about MQM’s links with RAW. “Why did not the conscience of Mustafa Kamal wake up when 260 people were burnt alive in factory or the agents of RAW, murderers and extortionists were released from jails under NRO?” he questioned.
He pointed out that 700 textile units had got shut in the country, agriculture was at the verge of complete destruction while price hike and poverty had made the lives of people difficult. He said that the conditions could not improve by constructing just roads rather the rulers would have to uproot corruption, unemployment and lawlessness from the country.

The Anti-Terrorism Court No-2 sentenced an accused, who burnt his pregnant wife alive, to life imprisonment on three counts besides other punishments here on Monday.
The accused Parvez alias Irfan had burnt alive his wife Samina after sprinkling petrol on her on July 10, 2015 when he came to know that she was going to give birth to a girl. Samina had died on spot while the Guggu Mandi police registered a murder case against him on complaint of Samina’s father Shaukat Hussain.
The prosecution said that the accused got furious after reading the ultrasound report of his wife and burnt her alive, who died at the spot. The court sentenced Parvez alias Irfan to life imprisonment on three counts under Sections 302, 336-B and 7ATA, 10 year rigorous imprisonment under Section 338. The condemned prisoner will have to pay Rs3 million fine.
