2 more succumb to injuries

SADIQABAD - Another two members of a family, who suffered burn injuries in a cylinder blast, succumbed to the wounds in Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Rahim Yar Khan whereby raising the death toll to four. In the house of Dharmi Mai in Chak 103/P Amangarh of the tehsil, the cylinder had burst because of gas leakage and a fire erupted. Later the fire engulfed the whole house. Resultantly, Dharmi Mai, her 3-year-old daughter Bindia, Bhagwandas, 45, and Mariyam, 30, suffered critical injuries. Earlier in the hospital, Dharmi and Bindia had died of the burn injuries. Now, Bhagwandas and Mariyam who were stated to be in critical condition and stable respectively, succumbed to the wounds. In the cylinder blast, roof of the house caved in and valuables worth thousands of rupees were also burnt as a result of fire in the house. TWO CRUSHED TO DEATH: A fast-moving trailer and a van ran over a two motorcyclists in separate incidents. The critically injured persons were moved to the Shiekh Hospital but they could not survive the serious injuries. Motorcyclist Muhammad Akbar, 40, of Zahir Pir tehsil Rahim Yar Khan was crushed to death by the trailer coming from the opposite side. Similarly, 25-year-old Ghulam Farid, a resident of Kandkot of Sindh province, was riding his bike on the National Highway. Meanwhile, the uncontrolled and speeding car collided against his motorcycle. Resultantly, Farid suffered critical injuries and was shifted to the hospital where he succumbed to the injuries. Both the drivers took to their heels.
