Qureshi warns against rigging in NA-149 by-poll

Multan
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Vice chairman Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi warned the government on Thursday not to hatch any conspiracy to rig NA-149 by poll, adding that otherwise it would have to face the wrath of PTI workers.
Talking to the journalists here on Thursday, he added that any attempt on part of the government to rig the by-election could spark serious chaos in the country. He said that the Multan by-poll environment indicated a visible change in the mind-set and political vision of the people and it was quite visible that a change would take place in the country very soon. He admitted that his party supported Malik Aamir Dogar, an independent, in NA-149 by-poll against Javed Hashmi.
He declared that the PTIs public meeting in Larkana on October 21, would prove a litmus test of its popularity. He added that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was a kid who read out scripted speeches written by someone else. The present PPP isn’t the party of Shaheed Bhutto but it is the party of ‘Zar and Zardaris’.
Shah Mehmood declared that the Multan public meeting on October 10th would be a historical and decisive moment. He criticized the Multan administration and alleged that hurdles were being created in way of Multan public meeting. He maintained that government sponsored election campaign of Javed Hashmi was being run from Multan circuit house, demanding the election commission of Pakistan to take notice of gross violation of election conduct. He demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to step down from his office till the inquiry about rigging in 2013 general elections was completed. He said the “Go Nawaz Go” slogan had become the most popular public slogan and now, besides PTI workers, it was being chanted by the common citizens across the country.
