Tight security, warm welcome await Chinese president

Islamabad - Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and local police in coordination with Pak Army are busy chalking out a comprehensive security and welcome plan for the Chinese president due in the federal capital in the ongoing month of April.
According to the plan, a copy of which is exclusively available with The Nation, ICT police in coordination with 111 Brigade has prepared a comprehensive security plan for the Chinese president. Eight JF-17 aircrafts will escort the Chinese president’s plane on entry into Pakistan airspace and the dignitary will be received by the Prime Minister, cabinet members and services chiefs to be present at Noor Khan Airbase Rawalpindi. He will be given 21-gun salute. The representatives of CDA, commissioner office, foreign office, IGP Islamabad, SSP Traffic and others held a preliminary meeting with MNA Tariq Fazal Chaudhary in the chair, to review the security and welcome plan during the visit of Chinese president to Pakistan. Further consultations amongst all the concerned on the issue are going on with more focus on the security of the dignitary.  According to the programme, flower bouquet will be presented by two Pakistani children to the Chinese president. National anthem of both the countries will be displayed followed by the tri-services review of guard b be Chinese president. Flags of China and Pakistan will be displayed around the airport. Around 100 children in traditional dresses and holding Pakistani flags will greet the Chinese president. Portraits of the President and PM and Chinese President will be displayed along the routes of the foreign dignitary. Furthermore, welcome banners along the route from Koral Chowk Islamabad to Serena hotel will also be displayed. The Chinese president will be seen off by the PM and cabinet members and services chiefs will also be present on the occasion. Photograph album of the visit will be presented to the Chinese president and eight JF aircrafts will escort the Chinese president’s plane till the Pakistanis airspace, the programme said.
