ANP boycotts Sindh PA session

KARACHI (Online) - The Awami National Party, a coalition partner of the PPP-led government, on Friday boycotted the session of the provincial assembly of Sindh in protest over a host of issues while the MQM protested over lodging of an FIR against their sitting MPA. ANPs legislator Amanullah Mehsud and Minister for Labour Amir Nawab boycotted the session after delivering speeches, according to Qadir Khan, ANP spokesman (Sindh).Mehsud said an ANP activist was being targeted in the metropolis almost everyday, but no action was taken to arrest culprits. Instead, their party workers and offices were being raided by the law-enforcement agencies in different parts of the metropolis, he said. He accused the PPP-led provincial government of bias against them in the development work in the Pashtun-dominated areas of the city and recruitments in different government departments. He said they would continue their boycott until their reservations were not addressed.
