Zardari administers oath to 3 MQM ministers

ISLAMABAD- President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday administered oath to three senior Parliamentarians of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) as Ministers, at a ceremony held here at Aiwan-e-Sadr. Deputy convener and Parliamentary leader of MQM Dr.Farooq Sattar, Senior MQM leader Senator Babar Ghauri were administered oath as Ministers, while Dr.Nadeem Ehsan took oath as State Minister. Talking to The Nation, MQM leader Zahid Khan confirmed that Dr.Farooq Sattar would be given Ministry of Labour and Manpower, Senator Babar Ghauri as Minister for Ports & Shipping and Nadeem Ehsan as State Minister for Labour and Manpower. While, officially the portfolios of these Ministers was not announced as yet. The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Chairman Senate Farooq H. Naek, Acting Speaker National Assembly Faisal Karim Kundi and some office-bearers of PPP and MQM. It is relevant to mention here that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani had invited its biggest ally to rejoin Cabinet as MQM distanced itself for being a part of the Federal Cabinet over different reasons. MQM had rejoined the Federal Cabinet after the continuous efforts of PPP to make MQM once again part of the Cabinet.
