Nisar lauds Sindh Rangers’ role in Karachi operation

KARACHI- Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said about seven thousand and five hundred suspected persons have so far been arrested during the Karachi operation.

Addressing the passing-out parade of Sindh Rangers in Karachi Tuesday, he said over four thousand raids were conducted by the security agencies in the last fourteen months to cleanse the city from terrorists.

Appreciating the role played by Sindh rangers in Karachi operation, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said the operation will continue till its logical conclusion. He expressed the hope that the mission of maintaining complete order in the Karachi will successfully be accomplished by the new leadership of the Pakistan Rangers Sindh.

On the occasion, he lauded the role of former Director General of Pakistan Rangers Sindh General Rizwan Akhtar who led and initiated the operation against criminals in the city. He also paid rich tributes to the soldiers of Pakistan Rangers and armed forces of the country who sacrificed their precious lives in safeguarding their motherland and combating terrorists.

He expressed the hope that the recruits who passed-out today would play their role in protecting the motherland and countrymen. Earlier, the interior minister gave away awards to the outstanding Cadets.
