Sikh Yatrees visit Sacha Sauda

SHEIKHUPURA - A group 260 of Sikh yatrees, belonging to different countries including UK, Malaysia, Canada and Australia arrived in Gurdawra Sacha Sauda, Farooqabad to perform their religious ritual on Thursday.

Elaborated security measures were adopted on this occasion. The Yatrees are in Pakistan to participate in the three days 548 birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak, to be commenced November 12 in Nankana Sahib. The Yatrees leader Kair Singh while talking to media appreciated the arrangements made by the government of Pakistan. He stressed that cordial relations between Pakistan and India is the need of hour to maintain last peace in the region.

MINOR KILLED ON ROAD

A three-year-old child was and his two elder brothers suffered critical injuries in a road accident near Farooqabad on Thursday. Three brothers - Saiam, 3, Hamza and Imran were going on Sargodha Road on a bike. As they reached near QB Link canal bridge, a speeding truck hit the two-wheeler. As a result Saiam died on the spot and the two others sustained critical injuries and shifted to hospital. The Farooqabad Police started investigation.
