India based Al Qaeda behind Naval dockyard attack

KARACHI- Police has arrested five terrorists, who were involved in September attack at Naval Dockyard in Karachi.

According to reports, they are members of al-Qaeda based in India. The police recovered ten kilograms of explosives, two rifles, three pistols and other arms and ammunition.

They have been identified as Qari Shahid Usman, Asad Khan, Fawad Khan, Shahid Anwari and Usman alias Islam. Qari Shahid Usman is head of Indian al Qaeda in Karachi. CID officials in Karachi said today that they were arrested in raids at Haji Camp, Napier road. The accused were behind the planning of the dockyard attack and provided financial support.

The police disclosed the accused were planning another attack on dockyard. CID official Ali Raza said that that Qari Shahid Usman is doing business of auto spare parts and they were arrested from Lakri Gali, old haji camp.
